Yes! Creating an account and browsing properties is completely free. You only pay when you make a booking. Our transparent pricing includes a 5% service fee and 7.5% VAT.
We currently have properties across all 36 Nigerian states, with strong coverage in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Kano, and Enugu. We're constantly expanding our listings.
Bookings
Search for your desired property, select your check-in and check-out dates, and click "Book Now". You'll see a full price breakdown including taxes. Complete payment to confirm your booking and receive a booking reference.
Yes. Cancellations made 72+ hours before check-in receive a full refund (less processing fees). 24–72 hours before check-in receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows are non-refundable.
Every confirmed booking gets a unique reference (e.g., XAL-20260305-0001). Use this reference to view your booking details, check in, or contact support about your reservation.
Absolutely! We offer event spaces, conference centres, and ballrooms for weddings, corporate events, and celebrations. Browse our Event Spaces section to find your perfect venue.
Payments
We accept payments via Paystack, Flutterwave, and Stripe. You can pay with debit/credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Verve), bank transfers, and USSD. All payments are processed securely.
No hidden fees! Our pricing is fully transparent. The booking widget shows the base price, 5% service fee, and 7.5% VAT before you confirm. The total you see is the total you pay.
Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Bank transfer refunds may take slightly longer depending on your bank.
For Hosts
Register as a Host, then navigate to your Host Dashboard and click "Add New Listing". Fill in property details, upload photos, set your pricing, and submit for approval. Our team reviews all listings within 48 hours.
Once a booking is completed, the funds become available in your host wallet. Request a payout from your Earnings & Payouts page, providing your bank details. Payouts are processed within 3–5 business days.
XALA charges a competitive platform commission on completed bookings. Commission rates vary by listing type and are clearly communicated during the listing process.
Loyalty Programme
You earn points on every completed booking. Points accumulate and determine your tier: Bronze (0–499), Silver (500–1999), and Gold (2000+). Higher tiers unlock exclusive perks and early access to premium listings.
